Refugee Medical

Refugee Medical (REFM) is medical coverage for applicants that meet the Refugee Program eligibility requirements and are not eligible for TANF medical coverage. If they are found eligible, applicants will have guaranteed coverage for the first eight months from the time they entered the country. If a refugee loses eligibility for TANF medical coverage and they are still within the eight-month time limit, they are then automatically eligible for REFM.
