The Medical Training Team offers a wide variety of courses to train staff.
Below is a
suggested training plan for new and incumbent staff.

• Reading Screens for Eligibility Workers
This Netlink is designed for DHS staff that process SNAP and Medical cases. Participants learn to research and access client and case information. Also covered is how to research income on DHS mainframe screens (BEIN, WAGE, ECLM, SMUX, provider pay screens for daycare and providers for Seniors and People with Disabilities. Participants are shown how to read the SNAP screens and how to interpret the information needed for processing medical benefits such as WEBM, CMUP and person alias update.

NetLink courses
• Who Is Self-employed?
This Netlink is designed for SNAP and Medicaid eligibility workers. It walks the worker through a series of steps to determine whether or not the client is self-employed and presents an explanation of how self-employment is dealt with in various programs.

• Medicaid for Non-citizens
This Netlink is designed for workers who determine Medicaid eligibility. It teaches the worker how to determine whether the non-citizen is eligible for full medical benefits or emergency services only (CAWEM).
