Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program and
DHS Memorandum of Understanding and Follow-Up TrainingThis is an exciting development. After more than a year of preparation, we are sending each of you a copy of a video training tape that was developed to support the recently signed Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program & DHS Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
In this packet you will find a copy of the MOU, documents that are referenced in the MOU, a Training Curriculum, and a recommended Training Agenda to use with the Training Video Tape.
Please review these materials and plan to share them with caseworkers and other child welfare staff. We encourage you to visit with your local CASA coordinator to discuss training plans and development of a local agreement. Also, please coordinate these activities with your SDA manager and child welfare program manager.
If you have any questions, please contact me by email or telephone.
