CW-PT-20-025 (pdf) 12/16/2020 12/16/2020 Please review the transmittal regarding updates to: Child Welfare Procedure Manual has been updated to add procedure regarding CPS Assessment and Founded CPS Disposition Review for Department Employees, the old policy III-E.4.8.12 “Review of Founded CPS Disposition for Child Welfare Employees” has been repealed and the old protocol has been discontinued. During that process, related rules in 413-010 and 413-015 were identified that needed to be updated to improve clarity and consistency between rule and procedure.

Rights of Individuals with Disabilities. It focuses on the following information: ADA Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Who is an individual with a Disability, What is a major life activity, Reasonable modifications, Auxiliary aids and services, Notification of right to request reasonable modifications and Worker responsibilities with regard to rights of individuals with disabilities.

All children and young adults in the care of ODHS who are missing for any reason are extremely vulnerable. The updates to this chapter clarify our current responsibilities and actions to take when a child or young adult is missing and when they are located. There is additional information regarding media alerts and requiring current photos of every child and young adult be available to aid in location.
