Field Systems Change Requests
How to Submit a Request:
The Field User Group has developed a new process for suggesting improvements to TRACS, Mainframe and web applications.
The following process can be followed when an employee has an idea and wishes to request an improvement/fix for any Self-Sufficiency computer application:
- Complete the Children, Adults and Families (CAF)-Self-Sufficiency Program (SSP) Field User Request template.
- When the request is drafted please have your supervisor review it for clarity or possible suggested changes. Click here for instructions on how to fill out the request.
- After review, the requester will forward the request with a cc to their supervisor to CAF-SSP, Field-SystemRequests.
The mailbox will be checked weekly and the requester will receive acknowledgement of their request. The Field User Group meets monthly to review and evaluate the request and will let the requester know the outcome (i.e. approved, forwarded for further evaluation, etc).

What is the Field User Group?
The Field User Group is chartered to support IT governance for Children, Adults and Families (CAF) by providing recommendations relating to field priority for CAF Self-Sufficiency Programs (SSP) – DHS Office of Information Services (OIS) service requests. The CAF SSP Field User Group is chartered and sponsored by the Field Operations Administrator.
Roles of the Field User Group members include, but are not limited to:
- Review and prioritize CAF application technology investments.
- Provide feedback to OIS on system implementations.
- Communicate regularly to the field regarding the progress/status of service requests.
The scope of governance by this committee is Requests submitted by CAF Field for system improvement/enhancements. The Field User Group shall make recommendations to CAF OIC, CAF OIS Application Support Managers, or CAF SSP Information Services Management Council (ISMC).
