II.B Medical IDs and Returned Checks

Checks are generated out of the DHS mainframe and Medical ID’s are generated out of MMIS, then printed and mailed from DAS Distribution Services in Salem.  Checks will be returned by the Post Office if not deliverable as addressed to the local branch office.

The worker must give written authorization to release or cancel the check.

3. Temporary Medical IDs

The Temporary Medical ID is printed out of the MMIS system. Go to

for instructions on printing a Medical ID from the local office.
