OSIPM

Worker Guide E.1 has been updated to reflect language defining when an annuity is not acceptable. It clarifies that the right of the state to recover against a community spouse's annuity for the institutionalized spouse's medical costs is not limited to the amount the state paid for the institutionalized spouse's medical costs as of the date of death.

If the annuity is set up to only reimburse assistance paid through the date of death, this would not be a qualifying annuity.

Definition rule clarified to state, grandchild of institutionalized or community spouse is not considered an eligible dependent.

Clarification that an assumed eligible individual must pursue assets, health care coverage and meet residency or they are not assumed eligible.
Also clarifies definition of child and defines when a child would lose OSIPM eligibility within 12 months.

Pickle multiplier updated and information added to clarify how to calculate when there is a spouse in the financial group.

Availablity of a resource. Clarifies jointly owned liquid resources are assumed to be available to the client.
