WG-2      Eligibility Requirements Table

Residency

  • Client must be an Oregon resident.

Citizen/Alien Status

  • Client must be a US citizen or have an approved alien status.

  • Client must sign a statement attesting to citizenship or alien status.

Social Security Number

  • Client must supply or apply for SSN, except newborns deemed eligible up to age 1.

Pursuing and Assigning Benefits/Assets

  • Client must pursue and assign health insurance and other third-party medical benefits, unless there is good cause per rule 461-120-0350.

  • Except for pregnant females and SSI recipients, clients must pursue medical support unless there is good cause per rule 461-120-0350.

  • Client must pursue assets.

Age

  • Client may be any age to qualify under the 100% of FPL standard OR a child under 6 to qualify under the 133% of FPL standard OR a child under 19 to qualify under the CHP income limit of 301% FPL OR a pregnant woman under 185% of FPL.

Specific Requirements

  • Health Plan New/Noncategoricals (OHP-OPU) clients must pay monthly premiums, not be covered by private major medical health insurance or by any private major medical health insurance during the preceding six months. The six-month waiting period is waived under certain conditions.

Resource Limit

  • There is no resource limit for OHP-OPP, OP6, OHP-CHP or OPC clients. The resource limit for OHP-OPU clients is $ 2,000.

  • Countable income must be below the OHP Income Standard.
