Tobacco-free DHS
Healthier worksites • Help quitting
A message from Bruce Goldberg, DHS director
Some employees may see this as a good time to stop using tobacco. And while the policy is a positive step, quitting tobacco is a personal decision and can be a difficult process. To those employees who have already quit or have decided to cut back, congratulations! To those considering quitting, I encourage you to join DHS Project Quit. You can quit successfully, and you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we can and will make DHS and Oregon a healthier place to work and live. |

Every day at DHS we work to make it possible for Oregonians to be healthy, independent and safe. Providing a tobacco-free environment is one of the most significant actions we can take to protect the health of our employees, customers and visitors. That’s why we’ve developed a policy creating tobacco-free campuses. The policy will go into effect May 30, 2008 at 45 DHS locations.
