DHS offers a wide variety of training for DHS employees, managers, and providers. All classes, workshops, conferences, distance learning, and other training events provide knowledge and/or work skills related to achieving the Department’s vision, mission, goals and outcomes.
Training occurs in many communities around the State as well as on-line. Training is open to all staff, managers, providers and community partners, unless specifically noted otherwise in the course description.
Training topics reflect the broad range of DHS health and social services, and public health disciplines that provide services and benefits to individuals and families, or technical assistance to communities across the State.
DHS training resources are located throughout the Department. The DHS Learning Leadership Council helps to coordinate and allocate resources to meet DHS training needs based on business needs, program requirements, legislation, DHS performance data, and emerging issues.
