ACA FAQ's

 

 

  • How do we handle cases where we have an SSI mom who has an assumed eligible child?
    • Email 5503 at: OHA.Newborn@state.or.us 
    • Explain situation. Provide the following if available:
      • Mothers Legal Name
      • Mothers recipient ID
      • Mothers CCO
      • Newborns legal first name
      • Newborns legal middle name
      • Newborns legal last name
      • DOB
      • Gender
      • Fathers legal first name
      • Fathers legal last name
      • Address
    • 5503 will set up case for the newborn

     

    • I have a client who was converted to MAGI and the case is being held at 5503. She just passed away. Who should I notify?
      • Send a MEDC form to 5503. They will refer to EAU.

     

    • What do the FST/HIX and MOD mean at the end of the MMIS generated MAGI cases?
      • FST is a case that was generated by a Fast Track application
      • HIX is a case that originated from Cover Oregon (HIX stands for Health Insurance Exchange) and
      • MOD is a case that either was generated by stateside Siebel or had a change made to it through stateside Siebel. If a change is made to a case that has FST or HIX, that will be changed to reflect MOD. You would still see the previous coding in the MMIS history.

    • Can MAGI service clients get non medical transportation?

      • Yes, it is in the K plan and MAGI folks can access the service. If the person is in a NF, the NF is responsible for any non-medical transportation.

     

     

    • I have a client who applied for PMDDT but got a MAGI determination before their presumptive determination was made. How do I handle this case?
      • Leave the case as MAGI and send a 148 to CMU to code OSIPM eligibility for dates prior to MAGI coverage.

    • I have a MAGI case who is service eligible. How do I calculate the liability?
      • At this time MAGI clients who are service eligible to not have a liability.
